AGREEMENT SIGNATURE

On March 28, 2008, at the French Embassy in Mexico, the agreement for the creation of the International Mixed Unit “French-Mexican Laboratory of Informatics and Applied Automatic Control” (UMI-LAFMIA) was signed.

The following six institutions participated to the event, of which four French institutions (CNRS, UTC, UJF, INP) and two Mexican institutions (CONACYT, CINVESTAV):

The agreement was signed by P. Guillon, Director of the ST2I institute and representing CNRS, R. Asomoza, Director of the CINVESTAV, J.C. Romero Hicks, Director of the CONACYT, and A. Le Gourriérec, Ambassador of France in Mexico. At the signature ceremony also attended V. Donzeau-Gouge, DSA of the INST2I, and representative of the Embassy, of the CINVESTAV, and the steering committee of the UMI.

The agreement was also signed by R. Stephan, President of the UTC, F.  Ouabdesselman, President of the Grenoble INP, and P. Jacquet on behalf of the UJF. The decision on the creation of the UMI was eventually signed on the 31st of October 2008 by the General Director of CNRS, A. Migus.
